A Prize-Winning Sandwich

6/11/11 — One of our favorite food blogs is Scanwiches, a site with a single, noble objective: feature beautiful and tempting photographs of delicious sandwiches. That’s it. There is beauty in simplicity, as this site proves.

Recently Scanwiches held a sandwich competition in search of a unique sandwich recipe that merits nothing less than immortality. We are proud and delighted to announce that the grand-prize winning fanwich features Montchevré’s own fresh goat cheese!

The competition was fierce, and the standards high: The winning sandwich had to be fresh and unique. The sandwich artist had to submit proof of their sandwich’s aesthetic value, and — naturally — it had to be absolutely delicious. It had to have the judges “asking for seconds.”

Congratulations to sandwich artist and grand prize-winner Brianne M., who created The Stalwart Goatherd, featuring Montchevré goat cheese! Honors included:

• The winning sandwich featured in the Scanwiches book.
• 5 signed copies of the Scanwiches book.
• A large-format, framed picture of the winning scanwich
